The movie "East Side Story" was filmed in New York. Stars included were Iris Chacon, Marc Anthony, and Eddie Vega. In 1988, after having my baby while in New York with my family, I decided to be an extra for the nightclub scene.
I choreographed Gaby Muro's lyrical dance to "Break Free." Here she is performing at the Miss San Joaquin 2016 beauty and talent pageant with the Miss America Pageant System. I picked her costume for this routine. Here she is performing a Full Split, Lunge, Back Bend, Flat Back, Straddle Roll, Tour le Air, Pretzel, Hinge, Ronde Jambe, Spin with Extended Leg, Inverted Knee, Leg Extension, Grand Plie, Lay Out, Grapevine, and others to post. I added a little drama too. LOL. Gaby's platform is helping people with epilepsy, Epilepsy Awareness. I advertised as am independent dance instructor with my studio name "Celebrity Ballroom Dance." The pageant's program book is a great way to advertise your business, and helping women achieve their dreams. I helped Gaby with an ad, and raise money for the pageant contestant's scholarships.
On February 6, 2016, I attended the Miss San Joaquin Beauty and Talent Pageant 2016, and watched Gaby Muro compete in evening gown, swimwear, interviews, and talent. She has developed into a beautiful person, and her journey will continue. Her platform is Epilepsy Awareness.
On March 26, 2016, Gaby Muro received the Miss San Joaquin County 2016 Honor Court Queen Sash and Crown. She helps the pageant and her community. Congratulations!!!
On April 15, 2016, Gaby Muro was crowned the new 2016 Miss San Joaquin County Asparagus Festival Queen. The Asparagus Festival is held annually here in Stockton, California. As the 2016 Asparagus Festival Queen she will be in the Miss California Beauty Pageant, and performing the lyrical dance routine I choreographed for her. So proud of her!
