Community Service

 

Have more than 40 years serving, and helping various communities, schools, nonprofit organizations, charities, and churches.  Have received recognition, grants, and awards. Community  service includes:

 

Stockton Singers, Concerts and Festivals 2015 to Present, at Central Valley Methodist Church & Episcopal Church of St. John the Baptist. Two concerts during months of April (Easter) and December (Christmas) to include caroling at events.

 

Delta's Choir, performing 2 to 3 concerts at Atherton Auditorium, and various churches for 2 years (2011 & 2012).

Licensed and owner of Celebrity Ballroom Dance, for dance and fitness (teach at nonprofit centers), such as Seifert Community Center, Manteca Senior Center, Galt's Chabolla Community Center, Milpitas  Community Center for 17 years.

Owner of Miss International Star of San Joaquin (nonprofit), for women to promote platforms that help communities.

 

Mayor's Task Force for Persons with Disabilities, teaching dance to persons with downs syndrome, wheelchair, and injured veterans, with Mayor Chavez for 2 years.

 

Mentoring student from Lodi High School for student Salsa senior project. I taught her a salsa routine, and had her coach with a ballroom dance champion, Mr. Villalobos.

Animal Society, dance instruction and performance for charity.

St. Christopher Strawberry Festival, ballroom dance instruction at the festival.

St. Luke's Festival, volunteering at the festival.

Daughter’s of Isabella Queen of Peace Charities, perform dancing for charity event.

Awarded Stockton Arts Commission grant for the Sock Hop dance event at the Stockton Ballroom.

Michael Randolph, professional photographer, was awarded a grant from the Stockton Arts Commission Grants (nonprofit). Michael asked me to be one of the local 20 artists from Stockton to help him with his project. I modeled in a ballgown, and photographs were at the Bob Hope Theatre, Empire Theatre, and other locations.

Troke Library located in Stockton teaching swing dancing to promote literacy to children and adults in 2011.

United Way and choir, at California Loan & Savings, 4 years.

Girlscouts of America Appreciation Awards, 7 years. I have served seven years with Girl Scouts as leader, and chairperson.

People to People and Student Ambassador Programs (volunteering)           

World Heritage International Student Exchange, 1 year

National Dance Council of America Member, and promoting health and fun through dance. 

Saratoga Drama Group, volunteer, ushering, 1 year.

 

Sunnyvale Singers Choir, performing 2 concerts annually for 7 years.

Milpitas Alliance for the Arts, entertained for Mayor Manayan’s Annual Charity Ball in 1999, 1 day event. Fundraising for  his various charities.

New York Realtors Award 1975, Directed Annual High School Fashion/Talent Show. Fundraising to benefit charities.

SheShe Productions featuring Andre Agassi, and Good Day Sacramento’s Edie Lambert, and Tina Macuha of Live 31, for Cure for Cancer Charity event,  Runway Model, 2003.

Charity Ball for the Children of India  with Mohammed Ali as guest speaker, hired by Fashion Designer  as store model in 19

 

Dodge High School annual talent and fashion fundraiser, Director and Coordinator. Awarded the New York Realtors award in 1975.

Manteca’s Boys and Girls Club (teaching children dance)

 

Youth Symphony Orchestra (teaching dance at event)

 

Disability Awareness Fair (teaching dance) with Task Force for Persons with Disabilities

 

Endorsement and Campaigning for Moses Zapien (Attorney) & Campaigning for Jose Hernandez (Astronaut and Candidate for Congress)

 

and many others with the pageants for more than 40 years.
